Features
Electrical
AC travel controller and AC drive motor provide high torque throughout the entire drive range. The regenerative braking and brushless design drastically reduces maintenance, lowering your overall cost of ownership. Travel speed remains constant relative to throttle position regardless of the load on truck, providing excellent ergonomics for the operator. The automatic resetting circuit breaker and one-piece micro switch design complete the system.
Brakes
The electromagnetic brake is mounted on the motor armature shaft, multiplying the braking power through the transmission. The brake is applied when control arm is in the vertical or horizontal handle position. Travel speed is reduced when forks are above 12” fork height. Neutral braking resists roll back on ramps, providing safer operation for operators and pedestrians alike.
Controls
Travel, lift, lower and tilt functions are in the ergonomic operator handle, designed to allow operation with either hand. The wrap around guard, reversing switch, thumb control, and horn are standard. Angled grips are designed to allow easy operation with either hand. The low mounted tiller arm offers excellent operator comfort and minimum steering effort.
Transmission
The vertically mounted drive motor is direct mounted to gear housing. The oil bathed ZF GK10 hypoid bevel gear drive-train transfers power to the axle. The state-of-the-art optimized gear technology supplies advantages such as minimal envelope circle, zero maintenance, low noise level, high efficiency and high performance.
Frame and Mast
The bolt-on high visibility I-beam construction includes lift cylinders that are positioned in the outer I-beam for good operator visibility through mast. The mast is also equipped with dual lifting chains, improving durability. The WSTX22 comes standard with a class two ITA fork carriage with a 36” tall load back rest.
Accessibility
The WSTX22 is designed to be easy-to-maintain, with accessible components that improve the overall serviceability. The removal of the two-piece power head cover exposes major components for inspection and maintenance. The drive wheel can also be removed with one nut.
