B & H Industrial Service is a leader in material handling solutions, as a Forklift Service Technician. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment to keep our clients’ operations running smoothly. Whether you are working in our state-of-the-art shop or traveling to customer sites, you will play a critical role in our commitment to safety and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Diagnosis: Identify mechanical and electrical issues in various forklift types, including liquid propane, gas, diesel, and electric models.
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on hydraulic systems, transmissions, brake systems, and engines.
- Customer Service: Interface directly with customers to explain repairs, provide time estimates, and offer maintenance advice.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service calls, parts used, and labor hours through our digital reporting system.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA standards and company safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or as a forklift mechanic.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in hydraulics, electrical systems (AC/DC), and internal combustion engines.
- Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (for Field Service roles).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; technical degree in mechanics is a plus.
